Legal and Compliance Executive
Role Overview
As a Legal and Compliance Executive at Apple Globalcare, you will safeguard one of India's most trusted global pharmaceutical distributors by managing complex cross-border legal obligations, trade compliance, regulatory documentation, and corporate governance. With operations spanning 100+ countries and products including FDA-approved, WHO-GDP certified, and EU-regulated medicines, this role demands deep expertise in international trade law, pharmaceutical regulations, and corporate compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Contracts & Trade Documentation
- Draft, review, and negotiate international supply agreements, distribution contracts, NDAs, agency agreements, and MoUs with overseas buyers, freight partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Review Letter of Credit (LC) terms for legal compliance and liaise with export operations on documentation accuracy.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository with renewal tracking and obligation monitoring across global agreements.
2. Regulatory & Pharmaceutical Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, DGFT regulations, FEMA, Companies Act, and applicable international pharma distribution regulations (EU GDP, FDA, WHO guidelines).
- Manage drug import/export licensing, NOCs, IEC, RCMC, and regulatory registrations across markets.
- Support WHO-GDP, ISO 9001, and FDA audit readiness by maintaining compliance documentation and policy frameworks.
- Monitor global regulatory updates and brief relevant departments on legal implications for distribution operations.
3. Corporate Governance & Risk
- Manage ROC filings, board resolutions, statutory registers, and corporate secretarial compliance.
- Handle IP matters — trademark registration and protection for Apple Globalcare branding across global markets.
- Coordinate with external counsel on disputes, legal notices, and litigation management.
- Lead risk identification, due diligence for new partnerships, and legal review of business development proposals.
Qualifications & Skills
- LLB mandatory; CS (Company Secretary) or LLM strongly preferred
- 3–7 years of corporate legal experience in pharma distribution or export companies
- Deep knowledge of DGFT, FEMA, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and international trade law
- Experience with WHO-GDP, FDA, and EU pharmaceutical regulatory compliance
- Skilled in contract drafting, LC review, and cross-border legal negotiations
- Strong research, analytical, and professional communication abilities
